An Android app that diagnoses motorcycles over OBD-II through a Bluetooth ELM327 adapter. It reads live sensor data and fault codes, explains the likely root cause with an on-device model, and predicts when parts need servicing from the rider’s own trips.

The Problem

Most riders can’t read what a motorcycle’s ECU is reporting, and service intervals in the manual ignore how the bike is actually ridden. DiagnostiX puts a scanner, a plain-language diagnosis and a maintenance forecast in one phone app.

Diagnosis that works offline
A Random Forest classifier was exported to plain Dart, so root cause and severity are predicted on the phone in milliseconds, without a network.

Maintenance from your own riding
Each riding log is compressed to 30 features. A GRU network running in TensorFlow Lite turns up to 15 logs into wear multipliers for six parts’ service intervals.

AI repair guidance with a safety net
The diagnosis, bike, mileage and live readings go to Gemini in a structured prompt. Answers are cached per code and bike, and every failure falls back to local guidance.

The app runs the ELM327 setup sequence with per-command timeouts, decodes live PIDs, and reads and clears fault codes.
